Fast chocolate souffle

What is a souffle?

Chocolate souffle is one of my absolute favorites. But it is not the easiest thing to make. If you watch any cocking show, the biggest challenge is almost always as they call it - The Dreaded Souffle.

Some people mistake it with Lava cake, which is similar in texture and effect, but is not as hard to make. Lava cake is usually taken out of the baking mold and turned upside down. Souffle, on the other hand, will puff down if you try to take it out. Some say, it will puff down even if you shut the oven door a little harder.

For best results, here are some preparation tips:
  • if you have a preheat function on your oven, use it,
  • ceramic molds are better than any other kind (plastic, paper...),
  • don't expect to became a master chef with a single try,
  • once it is in the oven don't touch it till it's done.
Keeping all that in mind, here is the list of ingredients you will need.

Ingredients:

  • 220g dark chocolate (you can add milk or white, but then you have to reduce the amount of sugar)
  • 250g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 160g custard sugar
  • 120g flour

Preparation:

  1. Melt chocolate and butter in a bowl, over the preheated pot with water.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix eggs with sugar.
  3. When the first mixture is smooth and consistent, mix the two together with constant stirring.
  4. Continue stirring while adding flour.
  5. Pore the mixture into the molds.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven on 200 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes (this time is for standard size molds, if you are using smaller ones 6 to 8 minutes, if you are using larger ones 10 to 12 minutes).
When done you can serve this delicious treats with vanilla ice cream on the side, and once you perfect the basic recipe you can experiment with the flavours. Try a hint of chilly, for example or a dash of cinnamon. You won't regret it.

Enjoy!

10 things you should avoid after c section

1. Lifting heavy objects
The first and most important rule is not to lift anything heavier than your baby. Even when you lift your baby it should be done with utmost care and in slow motions so that you don’t make any hurtful moves. Some doctors also advise breast feeding while laying on the side rather then holding the baby in your arms pressing your stomach.

New moms may need some assistance with household chores such as laundry and grocery shopping so they avoid lifting heavy items. They may also need some assistance caring for other young children; for instance, they should not lift toddlers in and out of bed.

The support for your stomach is the most important thing. It goes as far as holding your belly when you sneeze, cough, or laugh to keep it still and prevent the pain.

2. Exercise

Apart from the obvious no lifting anything heavier than your baby rule, is the rule of no exercise. Most women wouldn’t even think about exercising after any major surgery, but for those optimists that think they can do it and that they are different, don-t be fooled.

In a c section there are several layers of stitches that go through your muscles and tissues and not just the surface. Some layers of muscles are stretched apart so it takes time after a c section for them to come back to their natural place and elasticity.

Usually, exercise should be avoided during the first six to eight weeks, to avoid any strain and facilitate the healing of the post C-section wound. If one is keen on it, a very light exercise should be initiated and that too after four to six weeks of a C-section.

Even when you start working out, try to build up your exercise levels gradually. Once you have recovered from your c-section and no longer have any pain, it is usually safe to start low-impact exercises, such as swimming, pilates, yoga, gentle jogging and low resistance gym work.

3. Using heavy creams

Fore those women that don’t consider a c section their pride and joy, and don’t think of it as a beautiful reminder of a miracle they have performed, here is a useful tip. There is no fast way to make a c section scar disappear. There are things that can help and there are things that can make it worse. The main advice in the first period after the surgery is to gently clean the scar area just with water and gentle soap, and that is only after the stitches have been removed. The use of creams is not recommended and most creams even state it in their instructions. There are even some advices not to get the scar exposed to extreme sun in few first months.

You may be eager to try vitamin E or over-the-counter creams like cocoa butter in an effort to reduce the appearance of your C-section scar. Be sure to manage your expectations. There have not been any good scientific studies demonstrating that any over-the-counter preparations are better than just proper wound care.

For those impatient ones, you can apply a silicone sheet to the scar, starting two weeks post C-section. It may prevent long term redness or bumpiness by hydrating the scar, but it has to be on 24/7.

4. Another pregnancy

Basically, when you give birth the natural way it takes some time for your body to get back in shape and to remember what was it like nine months prior to giving birth. For c section it sometimes takes 3 times that. In terms of another pregnancy it means that you should avoid giving birth for two years, or if you would rather have it, avoid getting pregnant until your baby is at least one year old.

Of course, if somehow you manage to forget this, there are cases of two c section that are not that far apart but it is highly risky and not advisable by doctors.

Research shows that getting pregnant less than six months after a C-section can increase your risk of complications, such as ruptured uterus or a low birth weight baby. If you'd like to try for a vaginal birth next time, you have even more reason to consider holding off on getting pregnant, since studies have found that the rate of uterine rupture is higher during vaginal birth when it's been less than two years between deliveries.

5. Avoid driving

There are a lot of things and activities that one should avoid after c section but driving is on top of that list. Those women who had their c sections can verify that in first few months even the smallest wrong movement can hurt like hell and you never no for certain what can trigger the pain. Thus, avoid driving for the safety reasons, yours and those around you. When behind the wheel you don’t need those kind of distractions and involuntary movements caused by reflex.

Doctors usually recommend that you avoid driving a car until your cesarean wound has healed and you can brake suddenly without feeling sharp pain. This is usually around six weeks.

6. Dehydrate

While most new moms will have a bowel movement within three days of delivery—in fact, many hospitals won't discharge you until you do—constipation is thought to affect 25 to 50 percent of women during the first two weeks after giving birth.

A diet that includes plenty of water and fiber should help alleviate constipation after a cesarean delivery. Avoid refined and highly processed foods because they lack nutrients and fiber. They also usually have a high amount of salt and sugar. If after a few weeks, you still haven't found relief, raise a red flag and contact your doctor.

Your body needs water throughout the day, as it makes up more than half your body weight and is crucial for the proper functioning of every bodily system. After a c section, water is crucial to assist with healing, enhance the production of milk during breastfeeding and prevent constipation. If you are trying to lose baby weight, water might even be an ideal appetite suppressant when you consume two 8 ounce glasses before meals.

7. Sleeping on stomach

It is not advised to sleep on your stomach after a c section because the goal is to minimize the pressure on the wound. Some women find that rather disappointing because of their usual habits, but stomach sleeping can put pressure on the incision, causing irritation around your scar. It can also increase the risk of popping stitches.

Most women find sleeping on their back to be the most comfortable. This helps them keep all pressure off of their incision site. Many women use pillows to take pressure off their hips, knees, and lower back when sleeping this way.

Some women find sleeping on their side to be comforting than sleeping on their back. Placing pillows around the hips and stomach can help side-sleepers avoid rolling over toward their incision. Find the sleeping position that is most comfortable for you, taking care to not put pressure on your incision.

8. Having sex

After having a cesarean you will still need to wait about six weeks before having sex. It is important that ensure that your incision is healing well and that your postpartum bleeding has stopped, all of which thus implies that you should sexually restrain yourself.

Every one's recovery is different, and the pace may depend on whether the C-section was extensive or unplanned. Many women who have undergone a C-section chose to wait those recommended 4–6 weeks before having sex because they experience soreness, vaginal bleeding, and fatigue following the birth.

9. No baths just shower

No, you are not supposed to take a fully submerged bath until three weeks after the surgery. It is to keep the incision area dry and prevent bath water from entering into the vagina. You may also strain yourself by getting in and out of the bathtub, which might delay recovery.

After a cesarean, your body needs some time to recover completely. You may experience pains and aches, some of which require immediate attention and management. You will also experience vaginal bleeding and fever that could be favorable factors for contracting infections.

Therefore, it is safe to take a bath only after the incision heals. Until then, long live the shower.

10. Zippers

Funny as it sounds, but zippers are the worst enemy of c section births. They are placed right there where it hurts the most, they press and squeeze and Itch, and are the most irritable thing.

The best thing for the first period after a c section is to hang on to your pregnancy pants. If you have already discarded those, get a hold of some loos tights or dresses.

Go for great compression panties or stretchy, high-waisted underwear with a wide band across the top. You'll want something that sits above your incision and won't slip down as you move. Look for underwear roomy enough to accommodate large postpartum pads.

Comfortable sleepwear should be a priority for every new mom. Although pajamas are usually considered night-time apparel, new moms often wear them around the clock in the beginning. Look for a material that makes you feel cozy, and a design that allows easy access for nursing.

The recommendation is not to cover up the wound too much so if you have the necessary prerequisite – wear your birthday suit.

New mom - Who am I?

It was a quiet morning. I was sitting on my screened terrace holding a large cup of coffee and looking to the parking lot and all the people rushing to work. How lucky are they – that thought crossed my mind for a millisecond and vanished into the fresh morning air.

It has been more than three years that I had that same routine every morning. Drag myself out of bed, put on some elegant clothes and high heels and rapidly head to the office. Someone, looking at me now, would think that I am enjoying a lovely morning while others have their stressful jobs to go to. That someone probably wouldn’t have noticed that I am not holding a cup but a plastic container with coffee, that I shouldn’t even be up if I don’t need to go to work, and that I have forgotten to walk in high heels and swapped them for some comfortable sleepers and snickers. I use to be half my current size and was turning heads when I walked down the street. I always had a stylish fresh hairdo instead of crunches and hairbands and my nails were a piece of art. But back then I was poor and alone, and now I am the richest women alive. At least that is how I feel most of the time. There are only a few moments in a month, like the one I am having now looking at all those people rushing to work, when I miss my old life. And it all started when I become a mom.

My wealth is unmeasurable, but to put some perspective into it here is the short version. My older baby boy has just turned two and is in a NO faze. He is extremely tall foe his age, almost a full meter, and is almost exhausting combination of intelligence and stubbornness. My baby girl has just turned five months and is like a little doll that you just want to hold and play with, at least until the other kid doesn’t tell you to put her down. But she is rather attached to me – my little sticker. I love them both enormously, but as I finish my double dose of caffeine at six in the morning, I can’t but wonder if I should put myself first more. What is a good balance of being a mom and being just me?

And then I started thinking – who am I now?

I am a MOM! That is my first, my most and my beautiful self. There are no compromises when it comes to my wealth and that is something I always have energy for.

I am LOVE. I use to be just  ”love of his life”. Now, I am “love, can you help me…”, “love, where is…”, “love, are have you finished…” etc. There is always a wagon or two behind that locomotive that got me my MOM status.

I am COLLEAGUE… At least I was before my maternity leave. I was responsible, meticulous and reliable. I had enormous energy for handling projects, clients and their requests, but at the same time I had a lot of hobbies and balanced the stress out. If I have to be MOM, and LOVE and COLLEAGUE at the same time, and that time had to be now, I think that I wouldn’t have the energy for all three as I did before, and that bothers me a little. But I can only wave the last car goodbye as it leaves the parking lot, and spread my arms to hug my kid as he crawls into my lap. When they are older, there will be more chances for the third me to bloom.

I am a FRIEND. I can’t remember the last time I went out on the town, or just for a glass of wine. All my single friends are friends no more. Luckily, I have several MOM FRIENDS, COLLEAGUE FRIENDS, and MOM COLLEAGUE FRIENDS that can understand these big changes in my life. And it is a blessing. Sometimes all you need is for someone to say – Yes, I know. Yes I understand. I have been there. Even if it is once in few months.

I am ME? In a way, yes I am still ME. I still love to read books, even though I fall asleep on the second page every evening. My walls are decorated with my paintings, but I haven’t held a brush in 5 years. Volleyball, swimming, shooting, dancing were just some of sports that I went to. Nowadays I can’t make myself to go for a short walk. I use to travel at least twice a year, now I travel twice a month but to the pediatrician. Basically, ma former ME is now a hidden shadow, waiting to emerge and reclaim some of its former glory. But even when it happens it will be only one fifth of what it was before, as it should be.

When I get a big hug, and a big smile, when they sleep in my arms and ask for a piece of chocolate before lunch… everything else disappears. And for them – I am EVERYTHING!

Affiliate - What, How, Where

What is an affiliate?

The term affiliate is used to describe the relationship between two entities. It is rather present in many forms in our every day lives, mostly in business, law etc. But the online job that involves affiliating is much more simpler.

Basically you become the man in the middle so to speak. Someone out there has a product that he wants to sell. Someone out there wants to by that product but doesn't know about it yet. Your job is to promote that product and reach every potential online buyer.

And of course, for your standing in the middle you get a commission. In most cases it is 50% of the sail, sometimes more sometimes less. So it can be very profitable if you have patience and know what are you doing.

How do you do it?

If you don't have your own product, like I don't, don't worry. There are a lot of websites that can help you get to the products or services that you can promote further. All there is to it is registration and off you go.

I tried several sites and most of them are open for all countries, but there are always those that require more background check up. I suggest you avoid those until you get the hang of things.

So where to start?

Here are my best two choices for now, that i can recommend for starting up:
1. JVZoo

Affiliate site, easy to register, lots of different products and services you can promote. Most of them, especially those more valuable ones, are hard to get at first. But there are a bundle of products that are affordable and easy to get promoting so start with those and work your way up. There are also some courses, training and lot of other useful tools. When you get a product all you have to do is copy your link to your website, blog or email and you are good to go. Of course, you have to be patient at first but once you get going it will be easy.

2. SFI affiliate centre

This is also an affiliate site but with one difference. Here there is a hierarchy tree and when you start you get assigned to a more experienced affiliate. So you can learn faster and advance more. Also, this website is not just oriented on product promotion. There are a lot of other ways that you can earn commissions and advance in your position. It is a fun and well organized community where you can learn a lot and earn along the way.

Which ever do you use to start, just remember this takes time and a little patience. But the most important thing is that it is not time consuming and overwhelming as some of the other options for earning money online.

Earn through your social networks???

If you are not active online, basically you don't exist.

At least that is what the modern society is saying with the ever so popular online communication.
Facebook, Twitter, Viber, Instagram, Youtube... Different names same objective - connect people.

On the other hand, I suppose you are already drawn into the virtual world. Then, why not take advantage of it and make some money online? Because it is a FRAUD!!!
Recently, I have tried one of many so called easy online earning platforms. This one is called:

InfluencerCash

It is a website that practically gives you money for your connections. How does it work?
For starters you have to register - just a simple name password and email. When you register you will immediately earn 25$ to start you up, at least that is what they say.

After that you have few ways to earn more money:
  • share your referral through social media and for every click you get 2$ and for every person that creates account another 10$
  • you can finish surveys and downloads for 20$ to 30$ but there is a limited list of those
  • for every share through special channels that you are provided with you can earn additional 10$ every 48 ours

So in no more than few days you can earn up to 200$ with no sweat. And that is the minimum amount for withdrawal of funds.

I managed to earn 415$ and asked for payout. Two days after that my account didn't exist anymore, just like the accounts of my referrals. I should mention that the payout was set 30 days from now and of course, it is most likely a scam like everything else.

Another two days later i managed to log in again and i started looking for some contact. On the entire site there is not one email or valid contact. Also i looked on Facebook page and still nothing. Furthermore, there is no option to shut down your account or to cancel it.

My alleged payout is set for 08. of December so i will write a follow up then with more detail, because i also couldn't find any real proof of it being a fraud and decided to check it.

So this is a fair warning to avoid all similar scams like this one, and stay toned.

Start SMALL think BIG

I always thought that working from home is time consuming. I never had the endurance to sit in front of my computer and type or click all day and not get anything in return.

For those of you who are having the same problem here is my latest experience and advise.
START SMALL!

PicoWorkers

The site i am going to introduce to you is rather simple but with no experience at all you can make some money doing the tasks that are as simple as clicking. I must note though that you will not earn hundreds of dollars per click. No!

These are small, fast jobs that you can do in minutes and the value is according.
Per task the price goes from 0.02 $ to approximately 0.8$ depending on task.
The simplest tasks are liking a Facebook page or visiting a website and depending on the number of actions the price is around 0.04$ and these are the most common ones. For creating accounts and downloading some mini games you can earn more per task. So it is all up to you. You choose what you want to do and when you want to do it.

And don't be discouraged by the low prices. Look at it this way. You can finish one task in no more than 2 minutes. In 60 minutes that is 30 tasks. If the average price of the task is 0.04$ you will earn 1.2$ doing something that is interesting and easy. That is 36$ on a monthly basis for doing something that i am sure every single person does on a daily. So why not surf the net and get payed for it?

Once you decide to try, all you have to do is create a free account which is simple as writing your name and email, and get started. And keep in mind this is just a starting point to gets you going in the right direction. There are more sites like this one that you can do simultaneously and boost your profits more and earn larger sums of money for the same amount of time.

But more about that in my next posts.
For now, let's just start clicking!
